the fox challenge

man i totally spaced talking about our little dc get together last friday night. the former dc interns all hooked up in slc for some good grub and catch up. barry, ben, chelsey, jess, vance, jordanne and i had a nice little dinner at applebees then some went off to a movie i think. no good movies were playing at the time so i decided to head back home. it was so good seeing them and thinking back to that time it all feels like a dream.

i hate fox news so damn much. throughout the day i will tune in to fox news just to see what the other side is saying because there is no doubt that fox leans right and cnn leans left. however, where cnn will focus on a lot of news that is anti-bush/right/repub, what i like about them is that their main broadcasters don't just completely bash on the right. although they may focus on the faults of one side, they are so good to show faults of the other side and everyone in general. where fox blows is that their main newscasters would rather die than not defend bush and rip on the left. turn on fox news anytime during the afternoon and evening and you'll see for yourself. the point is that i believe fox to be completely anti-left whereas cnn is like 51% anti-right and 49% anti-government altogether. i'm gonna try and post my observations about the two networks without bias. my first example: yesterday while cnn was covering the breaking news that bush would veto any bill that blocks the sale of ports to the united arab emirates, fox was in the middle of the following report: "the new trend for dems: being hypocrites." i'll post more as i see them.

i dreamt last night that in the mail i received about five official looking envelopes, all with the potential of being law school decisions. the first one i opened was from spencer university out of nebraska, but it was basically my returned application with a bunch of notes on corrections that need to be made to it before they can process the app. i didn't get to look at the rest of the mail because i think kim woke up to get ready and woke me up in the process. so this got me all excited thinking that today i would finally get a decision in the mail. turns out that dreams don't tell you shit about the future because all i got was our qwest bill and a credit card offer.

through much thought and disappointment to many, i have come to the conclusion that if i could meet anyone or be friends with anyone, i think snoop dogg would be right up there on my list. can you even imagine hanging with that guy? i should write him and ask if he needs a white friend to chill with.

one of the worst things that comes with marriage, or i guess cohabitation in general, is the fact that when one gets sick, good luck to other with not getting whatever the other has. kim was iller than ill a few days ago and last night i really felt it coming on. there's just no escaping it.

best documentary feature to march of the penguins i guess. never saw it, but they are so damn cute. and finally for best actor in a leading role, my vote is to heath ledger. he won't win, but he freaking deserves it. and that's all she wrote. coming soon will be my top ten of 2005. i think i finally got it narrowed down. now go watch the news.
